Page Ranking
It is a known fact among all web marketers that Google gives every page a rank which is known as page rank. The PR is built on an algorithm which is very sophisticated. The ranks given to the pages are between 0 and 10. The rank of a page depends on the internal links i.e. the links from one page of the website to another page and also on the external links i.e. the links which link the website to the other website. Page rank is a value that is given by Google to a page which indicates how important the page is on the internet. The votes are counted as per the external and internal links of the page and the higher the number of votes a page has the higher is the importance i.e. the page ranks. Page rank is a way that Google has adopted to decide how important a web page on the internet is. The page rank is very important as this is what determines the position of the page in the search results page of the search engine. It is a proven fact that most of the visitors look at the sites which figure on the first page of the search results. Thus a page which has a higher page rank will figure on the first page of the search results which will increase the traffic to a website as this is the most important thing for any website to be successful. Links are the one of the most important factors that determines the rank of a page but one thing has to be kept in mind that Google does not count all the links. There are some links which can cause Google to punish a site also thus one need to be very careful. Page rank is an important thing which makes a site successful and thus should not be ignored.
